A brake kit can fit 15" wheels, even if it didn't fit your 16 or 17" wheels. If you want brake clearance you need to be buying wheels that maximize brake clearance, the PF01 and RPF1 do not attempt to do so.
Research is useful.
There are brake kits for the S2000 that will clear some 16" wheels but don't even come close to clearing 17x9 +45 RPF1. My 17" Panasports BARELY cleared the OEM brakes on my S2000, yet some people have even put 15" wheels on them.
Oh and I took my Advans off & put my OEM wheels/Blizzaks back on the car.
Research sure is useful in hindsight... could anyone have told me back in 2011, when I bought the RPF01, that it wouldn't fit with the BBK I would be buying in 2018?
The BBK had two points of contact on the 16" RPF01s. One was the spokes close to the wheel barrel. Could be cleared by a 1 mm spacer for mounting the wheel or not using the thinner washers when mounting the caliper (though that shifts the alignment between the caliper and rotor).
The other point of contact wasn't actually on the wheel, but the wheel weights used. The weights needed to be mounted on the narrower portion of the wheel barrel to balance it, which narrowed to make room for wheel mounted TPMS sensors. These weights are the stick on type that adhere to the inner barrel. I tried to convince the tire shops to switch to clip-on types, to no avail.
Which goes to say, the 15" wheels that would fit, most likely don't have room for TPMS sensors. And probably only make use of clip-on type wheel weights.
The 17" PF01, due to its larger size and change in spoke design clears both issues... while retaining the ability to install a TPMS sensor...
That said, I took one wheel off the Fit and did some basic checking. With the hat, rotor and caliper in the 11" position inside the PF01 wheel. From there, I can move the caliper out almost 3/4" before two parts of the caliper come into any contact on the wheel. The front part near the Wilwood logo comes into contact with the wheel weights, rather than the wheel. At the back, the parking brake bracket comes into contact with the wheel barrel itself.
The mounting holes in the bracket, for the 11" vs 12.2" positions, are 5/8" apart.
I fitted new wheels on my 2012 jdm Honda jazz, L13 mt.
Over the past year I've lowered on tanabe NF210, stereo install for a Sony xav-ax100, a Thule roof racks with deflector and snowboard clamps and jdm wiper mod
Just picked up one of these for our upcoming 2500km drive (over 5 days). Will be doing 10+ hours of night driving so thought it was a bargain at that price. ($99 NZD)
Be sure to post a picture of how it looks installed, and how the bumper handles the extra weight. I've been considering getting something similar.

Bumper feels like it will handle the weight fine, I'll likely add a couple of bolts in addition to the normal numberplate screws (I'll replace those with as socket head bolts with loctite).
I may also use some 1/4 inch rubber sheet as a spacer / anti-vibration mount on the bolts from the light to the mount.
Quite low profile and doesn't stand out too much at all.
Discovered the manufacture date on my OEM air filter was 2013, guessing it was overdue for replacement, fuel efficiency has never been that great in the 2 years we have owned the car so ordered a drop in K&N (PART 33-24220) to replace the original.
Have a long trip coming up, will see if the economy improves.
yea...i recently made this and a couple other non car related ones recently, and have had requests locally to make some extras. i cleaned up some of the lines on this design and made another screen a couple days ago. been busy with work etc, but i plan to make a few more and put them up on Etsy. im also waiting on a heat press to cure them properly/efficiently.
info will be either in my signature or on my build page when get caught up ...soon. if anyone is interested shoot me a pm so i have an idea on how many i might need to prep.
Tore my passenger rear brake apart in my apartment complex last night. Had the brake pad slip rearwards and jam the brake on. I didn't go more than a 1/4 mile and no faster than 20 mph after it happened. Come to find out one of the caliper bolts had backed out. Blue loctite and some proper torquing and was back together again by 9 PM.
Hey Freaks
why does my car feel quicker with winter tires on??
i know my sport tires have good cornering grip but I feel the car accelerates quicker on the winter tires
🤷*♂️

Are you running a different size winter tire compared to your normal tires? And winter tires flex more anyway, and combined with colder air will make it feel a tiny bit quicker.

My summers are Firehawk 205/50R16
winters are standard size
I actually feel a big difference in acceleration
I think the slightly larger stickier summer tires slow it down a bit in exchange for better handling

That's a big penalty in unsprung weight to run a wheel that size for your normal set of tires. Few pounds at least but that adds up quickly. One pound of unsprung equates to about 4 pounds sprung.
- Fresh set of tires; General GMAX AS05, in 195/50/50
- Replaced incandescent interior lights with LED
- Getting it detailed tomorrow, clayed, waxed, engine bay steam cleaned

Nice. I really like those AS05 on the fit, I have them on my summer wheels
I was shopping online for new headlight / park bulbs and came across these after much searching, the headlight bulbs use genuine Phillips LEDs. They should arrive in the next week or so, will update on how they perform. At $75 NZD they are similar to what I'd spend on halogen bulbs.
The Narva LED T10s were very cheap, I'll pick up another set for the numberplate at some stage.
