Yeah as long as there better then the Dunlops I'll be very happy!

Especially when the originals cost 120 something dollars or more a piece vs Falken Ziex which are only 67.99 a piece!

Just took it in and had them put on my new tires on my Summer rims and had it inspected and had to replace the front rotors/pads too and replaced them with the Napa Premium rotors/pads because My old ones were rusted and stuck which i figured they would be anyways so now My car is happy with all new front brakes and new set of tires.

spoiler install on Base Fit

I added a factory spoiler to my 2012 base Fit. Picked up the spoiler from somebody parting out their sport. They gave me only one of the nuts to hold on the spoiler, so I cobbled together a nut with assorted size washers to match the factory nut. I couldn't find a factory nut (p/n 90102-SAA-901) anywhere in the my area, and to get online would cost $2 for the nut and $10 shipping. Installed rivnuts in the base hatch (threaded rivets) after drilling out 3/8 holes and touching up the bare metal. Note that the sport's spoiler has 4 clips that can just be discarded for installation on the base. The color of the spoiler is the lighter gray than my Fit's polished metal metallic, but I'll probably not notice after about a week.

Drilling holes in the tailgate didn't make me happy--just be careful--use a punch to mark the spot, and progressively go up in drill size til you get to 3/8 (the size of the rivnut).

Rivnut tool borrowed from my local tool library.

Threaded Rivnut installed

Left: honda bolt. Right: bolt from Ace with washers to match the factory shape.

The bolt in the rivnut inside the tailgate

Spoiler attached

I wish there was some data on the aerodynamic properties with/without the spoiler. Most people believe it doesn't make enough difference to matter. It does look good.

Its been some years since I've seen the evidence but I thought the base model got better mileage than the sport, comparing manual to manual. I was always under the assumption it was all the aero bits they stuck on the sport that made the difference. They're also like 30-40 pounds heavier than the base model too.

Possible...but is that due to the spoiler or the front lip/side skirts?

It seems lowering the car has the same effect.

I've looked at endurance racers...most of those are completely devoid of aero mods. The time attack dudes, of course, go crazy...but that kind of drag isn't very beneficial to a DD and they're generally pushed by fully built K swapped motors.

I've just always had 'spoiler envy' since I bought the car. Honestly I didn't want the side skirts or front lip spoiler, or 16 inch wheels/wider tires--very happy with my base model--but it always felt naked without the spoiler. The only other thing I'd like from the sport is the volume control on the steering wheel, but i've lived without it for 8 years so it's unlikely I'll ever dive into the wiring can of worms.

Ek hatchback pro driver complaining about handling and exesive bodyrolls of the test car,,they say they will put spoiler so the rear of a car wont lift at high speed.after the spoiler the driver is already so pleased with the improvement of the car,,he says hatchback always has this problem of lifting compared to sedan cars

The Sport also has a welded in rear sway bar. That was probably the best thing I've done to my 2010, base...adding an aftermarket rear sway bar. Stability is improved in all conditions, and the highway wandering/crosswind sensitivity is reduced greatly. It's a normal car on the highway now, corners much flatter and more neutrally and front end traction on throttle through a corner is greatly improved.

I felt that lowering the car 1" vs adding 1" of ground effects made more sense.

As far as high speed stability...I haven't felt that to be a problem with aerodynamics as it was solved through suspension mods.

I think that being on 20mm wider tires with wheels adding 26mm of track width helps a little as well.

Absolutely right--the sway bar is important! I installed a Progress sway bar immediately, and civic 15" alloys with the stock tires which were swapped out within a year, but still the regular size for the base. I like the look of lowering, but doesn't suit my needs--I haul around heavy loads pretty often.

HKS axle back

There was an occassional clunk at the rear. An inspection revealed a broken muffler. HKS to the rescue.

Some temporary hardware had to be found.

I like it. You can now hear the exhaust, albeit a bit muted. I'm not a fan of obnoxiously loud exhausts on a car.

Looks like a tidy install. Have you had it at highway speeds to see if it drones? That's my fear of swapping any exhaust on it, is it drones on

If you keep the OEM b-pipe none should. If you’re in doubt the Tanabe Touring Medallion is super quiet at speed.

Nice looking install. Did you have to do any trimming on the bumper? What's the clearance between the exhaust pipe and bumper? Where'd you get it?

No droning. Just a nice, mellow tone.

No trimming. About 1/4" clearance. It comes with a stiffer isolator that might drop it down some, but I liked how it sat.

I got it off Amazon from 4Wheel Online. Part #

HKS 32003-BH006
