I think its better to ask WHY it needed to be replaced in the first place? This is not a wear & tear item, so it shouldn't need to be replaced unless damaged. And damage is mileage independent.
Totally agree. It was damaged, somehow. Coolant was leaking steadily from the corner nearest the petcock. I suspect corrosion...

Love it! Did you make your own brackets or find some here on the forums?

Just thought I'd update on here. Bad news. I have swapped in my '08 Civic Si seats into my 2013 Fit. People say this is plug and play for airbags. It is not (airbag light is on).

I just got out of the dealer hoping they could clear the light with an OPDS calibration. They were unable, as there is no signal coming from the weight sensors.

I have swapped out the Civic OPDS unit for the Fit's, and am running the Fit seat belts. Unless there is a way to trick the system into thinking someone is in the passenger seat, then there will be no airbag deployment on that side. If I manage to trick the system somehow, I will let you all know (any help is appreciated).

Otherwise I absolutely love these seats! Way more support than the Fit seats, super comfy, with full functionality unlike a racing bucket.

Ebay sells HDS and HIM modules for about $130 to do that on your own. Might save you some coin depending on what Honda charges to do what they did.

Thanks. I have actually tried this, but unfortunately the unit I got from Amazon required a very old version of Windows to run, and most of the instructions were in Chinese. Do you happen to know of a good one?

I personally haven't bought any of them, so I dont have an answer. You could maybe try running the program in compatibility mode? Right click on the launcher, should give you the option. There's an old need for speed game I play occasionally that was designed for windows 95 that I have to do that with.

Good old NFS. High Stakes?! I've been itching to play that again.

Anyway, I did manage to get a friends old PC that could read the disc, and they are an IT guy. The bigger issues is most of it was in Chinese, and my friend could read it too but it just didn't make any sense. I might look into a fancier tool and message sellers about the specs and language.

Finished fixing my Fit. Runs great, but I need to re-do the valve adjustment. Sounds mildly like a VW diesel engine

Got my BC coilovers installed but can't get the fronts to stop clunking on bumps even after tighting everything again. (Front isn't as low as it looks in the photo)

Did you tighten your sway bar end links while the car was up in the air? Or did you load up the suspension before you did so?

I found out that the latest Civic Type R sway bar link is the same 13in length as the sway bar link that came from Spoon plus the orientation is almost similar.
Out of curiosity, I bought them and install them today... They are super light because made from Aluminum !!!

I also replace my alternator with a new one today (genuine Honda Fit Alternator just to be safe)
Took a long time because I also take the chance to replace all the circuit breaker and distribution block for my big 3 wiring (since they need to be removed to access the alternator anyway)

Old Circuit breakers and distribution blocks:

NEW Circuit Breakers and Distribution Blocks:

Oh, I also bought original/genuine Mugen decal because the Mugen original decal on my Mugen CR-Z Airbox is peeling away... however... when I am about to install the new sticker today, I realize that the layer that was peeling away actually just a protective layer...
so for the past 4 years, I never realized that I should peel off the outer layer...
Well the good news is, when I finally peeled it off today, it reveal the Mugen decal in brand new condition... I guess I know have a lot of extra genuine Mugen decal

Hello,
If the problem still persist after your change you tighten or even replace your front swaybar link, then...
You might need to change your Front Strut Rubber Upper Mount (there are 2 rubber parts, the one on top of your strut, and the one inside the engine bay), and while you do it, replace your strut upper bearing too.
You also might want to change/upgrade the Mount Nuts with the new (Honda Genuine Parts) improved design from Honda Fit GK.

There are threads about this newer mount nuts at CRZ Forum:
https://www.crzforum.com/threads/str...nt-nuts.92309/

I was thinking of doing the above, but then I decided to just buy a Beatrush Pillow Ball Mount today:

Yeah that's my first thought.

The same thing happened with my GK because we didn't load up the suspension prior to tightening those bolts, so my front sway bar was binding and whacking the axles (clunking sound). Undid the bolts, loaded up the suspension, re-tightened the bolts, and everything was good to go.

I can't recall honestly, I ordered replacements since I noticed one with a ripped boot during reinspection of the handiwork. I'm also going to swap mounting hardware to the GK style BMW mentioned since I feel those will provide superior clamping and stability over the GE style mounting nuts

Does it have Navigation in the new unit, as well as Sirius and bluetooth capabilities? If yes to all 3 then I would highly consider this.

I can't tell which model it is that ArtJDM installed, but I'm guessing that particular one in the picture doesn't have navigation. If you look at the row of buttons at the bottom, there's a button for "ATT." That button is replaced by a specific "Nav" button on units with navigation.

That said, there are units with navi, Sirius ("ready" anyway) and bluetooth. Kenwood's current flagship model, DNX996XR, is one such unit (looks like the one in the picture). I have the DNX995s, last year's flagship model, also looks similar as they haven't changed too much, year to year.

Just went and bought some new BOSCH Icon Wiper Blades and installed them today, also ordered a new K&N Air filter for my Fits intake today, hopefully will be here Friday and will install because it is well overdue for a new one both the BOSCH Icons that were on it, and the the K&N Filter were 6yrs old this year! Figured it was time to get some new ones! I am also gonna be looking for new summer tires for next year they have lasted me 6 yrs, they are the original tires that came with it when I bought it brand new!
