Wow, agreed it was a good thing that you had your issues so you can address these new found problems.

Actually, I didn't have any issues that I knew about, just decided I wanted to up the compression to 12.5:1 and have the suspension rebuilt because I knew it was needed (didn't feel anything wrong, but if you wait till you do, it takes more to rebuild it proper). From there, it expanded, J's recommended having the head ported and polished while the bottom end was changed and then I started buying parts from Bisi since the engine was going to be torn open.

The transmission was the really unexpected part since it was just rebuilt in June by Seeker and once I found out that the mission case was no good as well, said I want to go 6MT with it since they are slightly quicker on circuit.

But yeah, if I didn't say, "you only live once" (like I always do) I wouldn't have known about the conrod bearings and the mission seemed it was ready to blow at any moment very unknowing to me. Seriously just glad I got over to J's after Suzuka.

The wallet is taking a major thumping with all this, but as typed just above.

I never mentioned in my own thread that I also purchased a cam from Bisimoto, it is their Lv3 cam (mandatory to use their valvetrain or at least some valvetrain not consisting of stock parts) which is the hottest cam they offer for the Fit. Supposedly it offers a 16~18% improvement over stock, but I am hoping for even more being that my head is being ported and polished and the increase in compression to 12.5:1. Honestly, I hope the engine makes 100hp/liter, but even better if K20A Type R power/liter (110/l) that would be cool. May even make me eventually paint it NH0 (Championship White) if it does. I have a feeling it is going to make 165ps at the engine, just from when I bought my suspension so many years ago and Umehara-San was showing me the L15 they were building for a customer that used their first iteration hi-comp package going to 11.0:1 pistons and doing headwork (possibly a cam from JUN, can't exactly recall) that after completed was making 150 or so ps on their Dynapack. Not sure what Dynapacks lose percentage wise, not as much since measuered at the hubs, but I would imagine it would be at least 5~10%, so that would put the engine at 160ps+. Every point in compression is supposedly good for about 1.5% in power increase. So another 3% would make it 165+ps give or take and that would equal the ps/l mark of a stock K20A. I'm still under no illusions that it is going to be fast, but it sure should be much more fun out on circuit.

Those conrod bearings got me worried. How old is your motor? Odometer reading?

Do you realize how often/hard this thing gets tracked?

Nice, that cam will shift the power up top so you will be able to raise the rev limiter for even more power. Do you have a tuner that can raise the rev limiter? How are you increasing compression? Decking the head or pistons? Anything hp increase will help the painful trip down the front straight, lol.

Pistons to increase the compression. J's said the rev limit will actually be 6800, due to the compression increase and for engine longevity sake. I asked if we can make it at least the current 7100. The ECU will have a bespoke tune. Not like the current off the shelf tune. Just the tune is costing me about $1200, so I'm expecting a really nice feel to this slowegg, but OUCH!!! The engineer will look into the highest/safest limit on the revs. Definitely the internals can handle it, it is the block itself with its paper thin walls that can't handle it really. Well it could, but the engine might decide to shit a piston out the side one day much quicker. The L's aren't really designed for high revs with their undersquare nature. The power in the middle of the band and even up top should be quite improved though. I'll still be limited at just over 200km/h, but should reach it much quicker now.

Undersquare Hondas, what kind of world are we living in?

I'm guessing around 80% of mileage would be from the track. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Doubtful I will find anything remotely similar though.
Do let us know - and post pictures - of mods on the oil pan. I shall follow ... if my wallet will allow!

Quick question, do you still have every set of your wheels? Like you have how many sets now?

Yes, I still have every set. Counting the stock wheels, I have 8 sets. And yet, I still want another 1 or 2. And my RB1 Odyssey has 3 sets as well. TOO MANY!!!

Was going to take some this weekend as I posted in the thread your other Honda or whatever the title. The weather has been pissing on those plans. It's also Premium White Pearl. Love my white Hondas. As soon as the weather plays nice, I'll snap some.

haha, I can't really let any go. Let too many go in the past that hurts thinking about. Trying to find those wheels today is not easy and if/when do, seller wants 3 kidneys.

Cool! Just post them here, its one of the few threads I always check!

And I know the feeling about letting wheels go, I really wish I'd held on to my TE's, RCT1, Advans and Cal Choppy.

Slight update to the slow beast. Engine and transmission are in. Suspension setup happened today. Will be running -3.5° camber upfront with still a slight bit of toe out, rear end minimally raised to dial out some slight understeer. ECU tuning will commence on Tuesday and should be picking it up next weekend. Really looking forward to getting it back and begin thrashing on it once again.

Will have been a long 4 months since dropping it off.
