No they don't really give me a discount, not entirely true as I usually purchase when they are at a Super Autobacs and that knocks 5~10% off the retail prices due to their sale events. Still very damn expensive as stated being paid with US pesos.

Sorry night time pics, but it is just about midnight here.

TEO, I can't really tell in the dark if the weave is the same, but if it is not, doesn't bother me one bit.

So the stock bonnet I got 6kg and J's has it listed as 6.2kg. Most likely my weight is off as I only have a personal scale and I weighed myself and then while holding the bonnets. Either way, the full carbon is 1kg lighter than the carbon and frp model and 3.5kg lighter than stock. I'm happy with that weight reduction.

J's should be lighter. I know for one that JDP's was significantly lighter than stock.

Well stock 13.64lbs and 5.2lbs is quite a savings. Any lighter and it would need to be dry carbon or it is so thin that it is ultimate garbage.

I remember the first few post from sexy.... He was waiting for the car to be delivered and every few days there would be more and more pictures of boxes that contained the best JDM stuff available in Japan and never seen here.

Thanks guys. I'm probably a bit stupid really buying these high-priced items (don't doubt that sentiment from the eyes of some), I can say that with a straight face, though I do really put what I buy to use. On that note, you only live once and just may die tomorrow so enjoy life while you can.

I have really started thinking about saving up for a K swap. I don't care for FI honestly and the L15A is what it is and is never going to be a mekatun (NA) monster and I really love the looks of the short-nosed, flat ass GE, so a K powered one would definitely make me smile more than I already do when driving. I think back to my DC5R and the way it drove and even more the symphonic melodies it produced while beating on it hard and I want to feel that in the Fit. Don't get me wrong in any way, this car is a real blast to drive, but it doesn't make nearly the same music nor does it have the same velocity, but it could have it one day...the question is will it? The main thing will be on how long I stay over here in Japan.

A friend from Okinawa now living over in Iwakuni has a 5R for sale for $9500, but I just can't really bring myself to getting another one because mine was mine from the get go and to get that one to where mine was would cost about what a K swap will to the GE. Maybe slightly less, but the GE was also a virgin, so it too will always have a leg up on buying a molested, even if not really beat on, 2nd or greater hand vehicle for myself.

Looks neat. Love carbon fiber intakes.

Hey 555 just out of curiosity, what will you be doing with the top fuel?

Never did get to thank you on the brake advice. Just FYI, brakes worked great that weekend, didn't experience brake fade at all.

No complaints with the intake. IATs seem to be about 1~2°C less than the TopFuel. As far as performance goes, when I first installed it, it did seem to be a bit more responsive and has not lost that feeling. No real quantitative numbers, but I'm pleased with it.

Do you think your MAF is on the fritz? I haven't seen the inside tubing of the Last Station, but maybe it is slightly large causing an issue, but if it just started happening, I would think your MAF is the reason.

I would love to wind that thing out up a mountain.

Be careful.

6.1lbs of power. The stocker weighs 19lbs and uses JIS posts, so previously I ordered up some new battery wires from stateside, to just swap out easily, since Deka Japan will not sell just the JIS posts and Braille no longer sells them, just the SAE posts. Had an older aluminum mount as seen, ordered a new one and also the aluminum box mount to check which I like best for mounting purposes. At the moment it's quite solid, but I want to further increase the stiffness and I hacked the stock plastic box to also use along with the mount. Basically just a test fit.

I also have the same size battery coming in their carbon AGM (15lbs) and was planning to use that as the daily and use the lithium for pretty much just circuit use. I could have gone even lighter and cheaper with the lithium, but I want to see how this one does for daily usage as well, since Braille says this model will stand up to it.
