Ohhh how I miss the 5R. Here is a quick 36 sec snippet from my friend Tim back on Okinawa chasing me in his 500+hp GTR34. You can hear just how loud my car was as it penetrates over his own car's sound.

Nothing new, just completed a 1000km break-in of the clutch this weekend, so can start beating on it more. Weather is beginning to move towards a little warmth with lows in the mid 30's and highs just at 50. Once spring rolls around I can start attacking some mountain roads again as the snow and ice will be GONE!!!

No plans really up front as I like the blackened bottom and had J's paint it this way versus all body colored, was thinking about possibly going with Last Station's sides and have them 2 tone painted.

The sun was out kinou (yesterday) so I decided to give the car a shower in the morning and then went for a drive. Ended up going completely around Mt. Fuji, before that though went up Rt 70 which is just about 30km of madness (only because 2 way traffic on a road that would be much better served as 1 way and lots of road work due to landslides and falling rock). If at all interested in seeing the road on Google Maps or what have you, the coordinates are 35.380075,139.236045 (start) and 35.51818554124362,139.2311954498291 (end). From there took 64 to 413 to 138/139 to 71 to 72 to 180 to 23 (completely around Mt. Fuji) and to 246 and home. Wanted to go up 152 the super winding road up to one of the station fives, but the road is still closed to traffic. Total trip was about 280km.
Couple pics I couldn't refuse to pass up...
These were just iPhone pics so the quality is not great, but not bad.

Well I really had no intention of picking this up. Wait time is usually 2 months, but drove over to a J's fair in Chiba just to grab their new black oil cap, but just sitting there asking for a good home was a GT wing. I thought about it for about 183 seconds and said wrap it up. Autobacs wanted 15000($187.50) to install, said no thanks I've got 2 working hands. Installed it that night.
Just snapped a couple pics with the keitai(cell).

I knew it when you mentioned something about voltex and cf a few days back have taken it out on the tracks yet? let me know how your car does at higher speeds. Funny as people might think, gt wing on a fwd??? but being I have deleted my rear seats I know and feel the wing doing it's job on higher speeds
