Wow that's awesome! Everytime I see and heard about the new fit I feel like the 2nd gen got screwed a bit.

Nice! Glad to see you're back out!

New Fit looks nice dropped and all, looks like they're running a ton of front camber, did you get a peek at the suspension components they were using at all?

Why? Spoon/J's went crazy on that car too.

Finally, a third-gen Fit I like the looks of. Black bonnet/hood seems to improve its looks a lot. Everything else I've seen seems like it's been beaten by an ugly stick which is a shame because I hear Honda's done miracles with the engineering.

Anyway, Sodegaura looks pretty tough. Not a straight on it at all (apart from the main straight) and it feels like a slightly wider go-kart track from the general shape. Car seems to be running well apart from the gearbox issue; I hear a bit of hesitation on upshifts but maybe that's just me. Good job on the new personal best laptime.

P.S. - Messaged you on Facebook just now. Cheers!

Went through your whole thread, great job on choosing the parts

As someone who is relatively new to this platform I actually learned quite alot from your posts and commend you for taking the time to take detailed photos and reviews

I didn't get anything on FaceSpace+ from you.

The circuit is about 2.4km in length and is quite fun. Was really fun bullying higher powered cars, of course I took my share of being bullied by the likes of a single seater something or other (straights or turns), a Snisen (same as the single seater), a FD (on the straights) and a Skyline (Infiniti whatever stateside also only on the straights). Coming out of turn2 leading into 3 is pretty much a straight, can be on full throttle into 2 down to 3. On one of my laps, was neck and neck with a MR2 on the main straight (huffing and puffing all of its 120ps glory) and my braking is so much deeper that the MR2 disappeared as I went into turn 2. Lapped somebody in the BRZ twice in one session, granted that is all on the driver, kudos for the driver being out there, but if you are going out on circuit, GET SOME!!!

Waizzz, thank you for the comment. I'm not on site as much as I used to be, but I have always tried to be helpful to others in whatever way I can be in all aspects of life.

Wanderer, it looked like they were using their Spoon/Showa components, but I didn't take a hard look to be honest. I'm guessing that the sussy also has the oblong bolt hole like my Crux/Js to alter camber versus using camber bolts. They were running quite a bit. I think I'm running with -2.2 and can go to around -5 before needing camber bolts.

ciref8, you shouldn't feel that way at all. I'm not disappointed that the engine and tranny is better, it SHOULD be or else Honda really has jumped their sporting ship and taken refuge on the QE2. Don't have regrets about anything in life, because you can't exactly change what has already happened (well you sort of can), but I think you understand what I mean when I say that.

J's blogged a little recently about putting a K into a GE, think with the plethora of K GEs over in Thailand, they are using their tied in J's shop over there to release something or maybe just a one off here. If they do come out with something, I think I will go with it. My friend in TX has my old 5R motor and tranny collecting dust and I would see if he would be willing to part with it. With that, I could at least give the Elises out on circuit a run for their money. So I would hope.

From 2 weekends ago, the Tokyo area got hit 2 weekends in a row with a very unusual amount of snow. We average maybe 4~5"/year and in 2 weekends it was about 25~26". Lots of shoveling in the neighborhood took place.

And from this past weekend back at Sodegaura Forest, racing is dirty, especially on a course with melting snow forming moving streams.

Work. Was a contractor and my company at the time had a position available and I was wanting to get back to Japan ever since leaving Okinawa in Jan '08. Been up here since Oct '09 and not looking forward to or even thinking about leaving.

I can speak some, but not hardly as much as I should be able to with as long as I have been here. Where I work, I don't need to speak it, so never fully engulfed in it where I would have no choice, but to learn it or leave.

Washed it, then took my Flex to it with Meguiars 105, then 205 and finally Blackfire sealed it yesterday afternoon.

So after work the other day, while we had a break from the rain, snapped a few pics with my phone, so quality is what it is.
