haha JC, it's just cellulose foam so weight is minor and the reason, crawling back there I've already clanked my dome a few times. Now at least next time it happens it won't hurt so much. Also for when the dogs are back there. On top of that, me likey the looks, call it my inner "ricer". :P

TEO, if you get over here in the Tokyo area definitely let me know.

LKM, thank you.

Ohhhhh that's a great a idea, a drive around ball pit.

Wanted to keep as close to stock diameter, these are going to be used for everyday running like the AD08s. Still about 13mm difference, but 205/50 are 25mm difference, messing up the speedo and mileage even more.

J&k, who did you order them from, or do you have a friend in Japan get them for you? I ask because if somebody is already selling them in the US, I'm curious to their pricing compared to here in Japan. My friend works at Tire Rack and they were told it would be several months before they would get the new model.

Also picked up some new ProjectKicsR40 with closed ends and additional red caps to replace the black.

Well they just went on last night and only been driven on for about 24km, so I can't make any comparisons. I only had *Specs on my AP2 Snisen when in Guam, it's been 2.75 years since leaving there, so my recollection is not going to really be genuine. My AP2 even during the monsoon season and doing auto-x really was composed, always drove with traction control OFF. So the *Specs were a nice tire that I wanted to audition and their price was hard to beat.

Well this evening the new steering wheel showed up, same model as the current one, just another 20mm less in diameter. Took a couple pics of the stocker (370mm), current (300mm) and the new (280mm) lined up together.

When I pulled the stocker out of the closet I just could really only say, "DAMN!!!"

Why do you have such a horrible "Rep" on here? It seems like you contribute very well.

Good thing we don't drive fashion shows and hardpark like douchebags in parking lots full of kids wearing skater shoes and talking about how "hellflush" their cars are... meanwhile the rest of us actually car about functionality.

So, please take your flatbill hat, sideways stickers on your back windsheild, and retarded camber, and comment somewhere else.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Love Always and Forever,

Johnny.

P.S. Your sticker is still on your hat.

on wheel sizes

Hi 555, i like the progress on your Fit; an inspiration to young padawans like myself. Several pages back, I saw a volk wheel with 205/50. Is that in 15" size? I'm planning to go 15" but is unsure of if x6.5 or x7. Need guidance too on the offset. Thanks in advance 555. Thread follower here

Popoi, the CE28s are 15x7 +43 and were outfitted with 205/50. Plan to go 215/45 front and 195/55 rear on the next set of A050s. The MF10Ls are 15x6.5 +45 and have tires that "don't look right", whatever that means. :P. The RE30s are 16x6.5 +45 and run with 205/50.

What size are your stockers 15 or 16"? If 15, stay with 15", better response from the low-powered L15 and a plethora of tire choices, plus lower pricing to boot compared to 16". If I can change the settings within the ECU to alter the circumference, I would run 15s all day without question. Just feels better with that loss of weight, which actually was only 2.5lbs per wheel/tire from the REs and MF10s. That was mostly because the AD08s are used and have lost material, when new I am almost positive they weighed 35lbs combined. The MF and ZII combo came in at 30.2lbs, was thinking 29, but the MF weighs 4.65kg(10.25lbs) and not the 9 I figured. The Yoko ES300s were really light at just 17.75lbs/tire. Not a performance tire whatsoever though; sidewall is incredibly soft off the wheel compared to what I normally use.
