MODS/ACCESSORIES for the GK
Wasn't there a bunch of bad talk about Bisi though? I see a lot of negative comments about him/her
Carbon fibre hood for 13500 bhat is about $400usd, probably cheaper than an oem replacement.

Anyone who's gotten an aftermarket shift knob: Could one of you kind folks weigh the OEM knob and let us know what you get? Thinking of picking up a leather-wrapped Momo knob and am curious how much weight difference there'd be.

Thank to all you guys for this thread and these forums.
Special thanks to ROTTBOY for all his hard work and documentation of processes, this will come in extremely valuable.
Brand new owner to a Fit (it's actually the wife's but I'm already planning the eventual hand-me-down). Her Previous car was a 02 civic DX w/MT, it had nothing so this is a huge luxury increase for her.

So my rant about the body side moldings.
Dealer installed item at time of purchase. They installed the rear door ones soo close to the front doors that it was actually binding and bending the front doors inwards when you used the rear doors, that's when I started poking around and found pictures of them installed correctly, took it back to the dealer and told them to fix the issue. They call back and tell me that other customers weren't liking the look of the install so they had changed the way they install them to what we have now and that our only option was to remove the door edge guards to stop the binding/denting... I pushed the issue for a while and provided them with the correct install paperwork (thank you guys) so they decided it was better to just change them to what they were supposed to be. Unfortunately my wife picked up the car late in the afternoon; it was dark already and didn't really check it, so they got installed a second time WRONG again.... Now this time they're 3/4" from the front door, they don't bind anymore but they are still not installed correctly AND they buffed the car, now there's swirl marks all over the car.... She went back the next day, and they refuse to do anything about the molding and, don't have an install template to show us that they did it correctly, but if we get one or they happen to, they will do something about it. She was soooo focused on the side molding that she forgot to mention the buff job...
TLDR: Anyone got a copy of the install templates for the side moldings that I can borrow/buy/have/print out PLEASEEEE?
This has been the dealer from hell with this car from the day we walked into their lot, but they were the only ones that had the LX MT's in stock so we stuck it through and boy should we have run right from the get go.
Other than that, we are supper excited about the car, she's loving it to no extreme, I just have to get her out of the habit of only tapping the blinker and not fully engaging it.

So far:
- OEM Applique (dealer)
- OEM Door Edge Guards (dealer)
- OEM Splash Guards (dealer)
- OEM Cargo area Cover (Bernardi)
- OEM cargo tray (Keenan Honda thru ebay -- ebay bucks got used)
- OEM body side molding ***see rant further down
- 40% HP tint (local place $170)(MA state law says 35 is max)
To do:
- LED swap on all interior and License plate (sitting on table)
- OEM Rear Seat Cover (coming for x-mas)
- OEM all Weather mats (coming for x-mas)
- Some kind of door sill protection on all doors (got to figure this out soon)
- Go back and tint the front strip (didn't think it was a big deal at the time)
- Some kind of leather steering wheel (this can wait)
- Second Trunk LED *if the LED bulbs aren't enough
- Dash Cover
Want to do but probably won't:
- Fog lights if the wiring is all there (somewhere in this thread I read that it was and wasn't)
- Some kind of lighting for the cup-holder area (not the one mentioned here so far)
- NightShade the lights around the car
- Some kind of cheap rims... don't like alloys(see below)
Want to do but need more info:
- Plastiwrap (or whatever it's called) the hood and mirrors (paint protection)
- Front seat covers
- Would love to put some other stock rims on this thing, anyone know what bolt pattern matches from other Hondas?

'll bet that is wet CF over fiberglass; a dry carbon fiber would be well over a grand
It's 4X100mm so any Civic rim from 1984 - 2000 will fit bolt circle wise; not sure of hub diameter. Honda/Acura offerings are very sensitive to hubcentricty. Your LX requires a 15'' rim I believe; so possibly a 99-00 Civic Si rim

Honda online store : 2015 Fit Accessory installation (DIY) instructions
As for the fog lights, I like having them, but I'd like to have more control over them. I realize it's state laws that restrict their use, but I'd like to be able to turn them on and off without regard for what the headlights are doing. Running wires and a switch shouldn't be too difficult.
Here's a good site for Honda Fit installation. I saved all of them and printed some. Most accessories come without directions.

When tirerack sells alloy wheels, it includes the correct spacers for the hubs. I bet they could sell you whatever you need.
I hate buying shinny rims though, too much attention to the car and she curbs everything, hence a stock wheel, even better if it's steel. Plus Craigslist is usually loaded with cheap OEM wheels.
I meant that you might be able to get the hub insert if you need one to make the wheel a good fit on the Fit.
"Ahhhhh", said the blind man pissing into the wind. Hmm now that does open up some choices now doesn't it...
No, the LX is listed as 4 speakers, all in the doors. The EX is listed as 6 speakers, adding the tweeters in the dash. I don't know about with wiring, though.
I have a little bit of buyers remorse here. After reading some posts I bought the Honda rubber floormats part number 08P13-T5A-110, for $96.80 from Honda of Lisle. I have had WeathertTech floor liners before and now see how much better they are, although just front floor. So I put out $110 for the WeatherTech's. At least I like them better.
I got some RED/BLACK seat covers and realized the Velcro on the floor liner won't stick to the seat backs. Rather than cut out notches or glue some Velcro on the seatbacks, I just decided to remove the floor liner. The floor liner worked fine with the stock seats, spent $123.20 for them. So I will try to sell these items locally on craiglist. I had been leaving the back seats down but with new seat covers decided to leave them up when possible.
I really like this vehicle, glad I got the LX CVT. 37.5 MPG on last fill up. I got car on Sept 6 and now have 2025 miles on it. I thank everyone for their posts on this topic.

Well let's see. Been awhile since I posted here.
Yesterday I wasn't happy with the blacked-out turn signal area in my retro, so I took out the headlights, took out the lense, removed the black paint back to chrome, and resealed everything. I also got rid of the VLED switchbacks and went back to traditional OEM filament turn signal bulbs. Does that count as a mod?
I also finally took the time to stare at the JDM LED DRL for the fog light area I had purchased two-three months ago on eBay. I figured ... eh.. might as well put it to use.
We already discussed that the DRL themselves mount onto the USDM bumper fine, but the fog light covers DO NOT, which means having to cut through and trim the USDM oem fog light covers to fit around the JDM DRL. It's a PITA. Big PITA. But eh.. I'm happy with the results.
The DRLs look yellowish on the camera, but they're actually whiter in my eyes. They're also brighter than the XB LED strips and aren't glaring at all. I hooked them up to my DIY DRL relay plugged into fuse #25 (the DRL one) so they come on when ACC+ or engine start with eBrake released, turn off when headlights on etc you know the drill.
My only concern is if they fail down the line, where do I get/order replacements?

They're basically individal LED SMDs with a reflector for each.

DRLs on

At night standing further away

How they look from inside a Dominos pizza.

floor mat mod
I decided I'm mildly disappointed with the Honda all weather floor mats. Particularly the amount if crap getting between the dead foot pedal and the floor mat. Doors anytime know of a mod to maybe put flaps of floor-mat-by-the-foot to direct shoe gunk into the floor mat? I don't want to shell out another ~$100 for weathertech since I've only had the mats a week.
