Fed the nitrous feed line through the recirculation vent for the heater. Drilled a 1 1/8" hole in the under part of the cowl to reuse a rubber grommet from the heater core lines to run the nitrous line into the engine bay. Now to remove the old line, run the blow down line and the electrical stuff for the kit. Good times. Also weighed the wiper motor, 5.6 lbs...wipers are 2.2 lbs total...going to leave them off for now but might add them in later when I need to drive.

Got the old nitrous feed line and blow down line removed today. The bulkheaded end of the blow down line got seized so that will need to be replaced. Ordered some fittings so I can mount the heater pressure switch and innovate psn1 bottle pressure sensor to the nitrous bottle valve where the mechanical pressure gauge normally mounts. I've had 2 of those gauges leak on me already so I'm done with those. Nitrous didn't leak out of them, just the goo inside! 🤣

Removed the washer fluid reservoir, some airbag sensors, and 16ft nitrous line...saved about 6.75 lbs.

So I got to weigh the car and it was approx 2171 lbs with me in it. So thats 2031 lbs! I am pumped because my goal is under to be under 2000 lbs without me inside and I'm almost there. The car still has heavy winter tires and wheels (18 lbs ea 1.6 EL wheels), almost full tank of gas, stock hood, ungutted rear doors, passenger seat and full exhaust. Woo! pumped!

I see your point. This was before we got a new car and this became my project. A Bluetooth speaker will solve that problem. 😁 The new GK will stay stock, comfortable, smooth and boring...This will be the opposite, haha.

Stock hood now at 12.4 lbs. At this level it gets flimsy and may require hood pins at the front for stability. Next task is to see if I can remove the hood latch and hinges altogether and just use some sort of locking hood pins.

Gutted the hood down to 11.68 lbs, held by 4 hood pins. No damper or hinges now but its pretty easy to remove.

Also got an adapter to run the bottle pressure gauge and bottle warmer from the mechanical bottle ressure port on the bottle valve. I'll have to make a disconnect for the pressure sensor wiring, but the reason I did this is to:

1. clean up the area a bit, making it easier to connect the nitrous feed line in a small space
2. make it possible to read the bottle pressure on the innovate gauge even when the bottle is closed. A mechanical pressure sensor would be facing the wrong way and I've had 2 fail on me and don't want to use them anymore.
3. Eliminate a possibility of the bottle exploding if the heater gets left on when the bottle is closed.
4. Have as few connections as possible interrupting the flow of nitrous to the engine.

Trimmed an additional 4.4 lbs of weight from the hatch, including the latch and 1 damper. It's light enough to only need 1 damper to stay open. Need some hood pins for this now. 🤣 Also finally test fitted one spare door and it fits fine...got some lexan for both rear doors coming soon. 😄 Car looks super ghetto, lol...work in progress.

thank you sir, I just ordered an NX blow down tube as my original Dynotune I had to cut to remove, the bulkheaded portion got seized to the frame. Also people will stop assuming I have the bottle mounted in the wrong direction as it looks like another nitrous line coming out the top or now the back.

For some reason both seat belts are now locked in a shortened position so I am going to order some simple 4 points to replace them for now. Should save a couple pounds too as the front belts and their brackets are well over 10 lbs. Getting some hood pins for the hatch tomorrow and still waiting on lexan for the rear doors to ship, it's on backorder. As well my 5/8" silicone caps to bypass the heater core should be in soon. Worked on hooking up the wiring and mounting the innovate gauge and Ultragauge, pics when complete.

Thanks! I could take the hood a step further with locking hood pins and get rid of the latch and hood release but I've heard spotty reviews of them.
