Well, I believe it's time to start piecing together a turbo kit. I want to buy the S/C that Fitted is selling but not sure if that will go through. Any recommendations or tips? I know about the Zage kit, I'm looking into going a different route.

I don't know anything about trying to boost this 1.5 peanut, nor do I care to find out. If my motor goes I'll squeeze in a k20.

Sucky thing about CA is having to put in a motor thats newer than your chassis in order to stay CARB legal. So if I ever want to put something in my 2013...I'd have to find a 2013 or newer motor...which is big $$$. Fully expect the Fit to last 200k+ so I have an easy 8+ years before I need to worry about any of that.

IF i were to do an upgrade to the motor, it'd probably be the sprintex simply because its bolt on. Still dont think I'd drop that kinda $$ on this car though. Rather save that for a down on another car or home project.

This is true. I'll buy the new CTR and do some upgrades on the house before them large dollar bills go into the Fit. I'm enjoying these suspension mods, its what I needed in my daily commute.

Its like reading my own thoughts...been eyeing the civic hatch. Not entirely sold on the CTR due to cost....but never know.

Very happy with my suspension upgrades. Have revived/renewed my appreciation for this car.

Yeah in NC it's the same bs. Super annoying. Although the Sprintex is a really easy install, it's really expensive ($3100 new) and I'd prefer a turbo anyways. The Zage kit is a good start I guess, because for $1300 you can get a manifold, all piping, and a decent turbo. They claim it's a Mitsubishi OEM turbo but for $1300 for the whole kit, I doubt it's real. That being said, I'll probably be looking into a Holset or OEM Garrett. Anyways, I'll keep you posted, but long story short, a turbo kit with a nice, upgraded turbo is still cheaper than a Sprintex

A little research shows that the Holset HX35 is the best bet for a small displacement engine, such as our Fit's. It's from an OEM Dodge Cummins so it will be more than reliable. I can get a lightly used HX35 for $700, which is not bad. I'd then need a T25->T3 flange adapter, because the turbo kit includes a manifold with a T25 flange. So, for $2200 or so, I can have a very nice setup This makes me happy

$2200 into power mods for the Fit sounds painful.

But I've been windowshopping Fit replacements for the last year....so I'm biased.

It is painful. But it is what I want to do Personally, I've fallen in love with this car and want it to be fast instead of buying something else. I'd love an STI or Evo or M4 but $$$$$$$. $2200 is a drop in the bucket on a lease for a 2017 M4.

Haha you are correct. I'm blessed that my parents are paying for school. Now, I still have an apartment, phone bill, car insurance, and food bill to pay for, but I work full-time over the summer to make up for it. So my priorities are indeed in order.

Wash, waxed and vacuumed the car. Also my rear bumper applique arrived. Insanely easy to install. I dig it. Plus it hides a scratch or two my "genius" dog put there when we first adopted her.
