it's not that hard, actually. the main thing is you want to isolate the cone from the engine as much as possible. i would use a piece of poster board to bend and cut out your template.

then find somewhere that can get you a sheet of ABS about 4-5mm thick and epoxy the pieces together and mount it to the area either using a bracket or better yet, using your intake tube as a bracket so the movement doesn't tear it off your mounts.

might even suggest looking at the K&N kit and seeing if you can make something like that or better.

Just drove 6 miles to the gym, thankful at the mileage the fit gives me. My old 74 IH pickup used to give me only 6 mpg...in today's $5/gallon prices that would have been a $10 trip. In the fit, a little under $2.

Went to visit my friend in Lexington Kentucky over the weekend.

I got 38mpg on the way down, and 36 mpg on the way back. It's about a 4 and 1/2 hour drive each way. Only had to stop and fill up once to go round trip.

I also go my windows tinted while I was down there.

^ Are those OEM mats? They look like they would stay put more than my OEM mats.

Weather Tech Digital Fit with the emblem replaced with a Honda CF one.

Took some velcro ( just one side as it sticks to the carpet very well) to hold it in place perfectly.

Thanks Kenchan for the velcro tip on the mats.....scuffed them up nicely with some sand paper first. Good idea on the taping the carpet with masking tape to keep the salt off this winter.

Unfortunately....AND I HATE it that I have to mention it but the RS emblem is fake and it looks bad. It's and RS badge from a Toyota Yaris.

The real one looks like this:

Please Please remove it. You seem way too proud of your car otherwise.
LOL i know that it's not the genuine RS for honda. since i bought it very cheap, i might as well use it ($3 - I couldn't complaint LOL)

thanks tho for the compliments

It really was meant as a compliment! ^^^^That's why I pointed out the little emblem that was out of place on an otherwise really good looking Fit! No matter Cool Fit Man!
