Hmm... this DP does look like a nicely made piece of hardware.
I bet car sounds way louder now.
Although I am not sure the Medalion was tuned to work its best in this setup...
I could be mistaken.
I have to say I am having hard time exercising restraint with this car and to make things worse my bumper-to-bumper warranty only ends in 2021.
But I promised myself I will not touch anything before the cat on this engine.
I bought my Fit for worry-free cheap transportation duty.
Still, I do get tempted when I see stuff like this.
Good job.
Hope you enjoy it.
I originally bought it as a dd.... but coming from a couple of hondas that have been modified, and kind of liking a good sound..... who do i kid.... im a gearhead / greasemonkey mechanic who hasnt been able to stop modding my cars
Im pretty pleased with the combination so far.... after dynoing it ill tell
Had a goal of installing my catch can today but a flu has been kicking my butt.
I ended up using Plasti Dip on the rear reflectors. I have never used this stuff so I'm super concerned with longevity. I really like the look and I think after a few weeks I'll start considering vinyl or a true body shop paint job.
Thank you to those who went before me and found out how much better the car looks with this done. Also for sharing how easy it is to remove the reflectors.

Did you just use black or did you use glossifier as well. Close up pics help.

I did not use a glossifier. I had it in my mind that I wanted to get as close as possible to the vinyl on the B-pillar. I was concerned a glossofier could look like the gloss black of the LX trim.
This is the coating I purchased from O’Reilly Auto. I was amazed at how many choices and shades. Even multi can packs with a special primer, but it seemed the primer was more about making easier removal.
The B-pillars look to be wrapped from the factory and when this little test is all complete, I am guessing I will end up wrapping these reflectors unless I get the confidence to do a finish paint. Picture of the pillars just to show what I wish to have in the end.
This is four coats, one every 15 minutes. The can says 4-6 coats, with one every 15 minutes. More coats, the easier the removal. The outdoor temp was 75 degrees and mild humidity. Wiped clean with rubbing alcohol. NOTICE: A lot of pollen and junk landed on the car overnight. You can tell the same stuff is on the glass, so you sort of have to look past the dust. It has not been 24 hours yet, so I really didn't want to wipe the dust off. I should have brought them inside until I was ready to drive the car again, even though they are not needed for driving.
Slightly different angle. I think a little bit of orange peel is inevitable with this stuff, but I may be wrong.
From farther away, but still pretty close.
Thanks!

Thank you for sharring. The finish, with glossifier will probably help the color matching for the lx trim. At the moment the plastidip+glossifier looks about the same texture as the plastic behind the rear window. Its amazing how many different textures of black are all around the car, i almost dont need to worry about which one i match to, lol.
I got the impression that the Plastidip Glossifier provides UV protection and is recommended because the base color coats of Plastidip are vulnerable to UV and could fade or discolor with time without the added Glossifier protection. Anyone know if this is true? Note the description here:

is this some new feature they added on to the glossifier? never heard of uv protection.
one thing I can say about glossifier ... it def helps the plastidip from fading/discoloring. the wrx has had the same coat of white plastidip for 5 yrs, and it still looks as white as day 1 of application
(compare the wheels on the wrx to the white lexus ... gives you an idea for the shade of white it is)
Finally got a progress rear sway bar, super noticeable after driving 47k miles on stock suspension. Car rotates way easier if provoked, and quick lane changes are much flatter. Got rid of alot of the rear end float.
Lol. Just imagine that no matter where the connecting rod is anchored on the wheel, the piston moves the same way. It's rotation converted to reciprocation.
The mod just changes the resting location at the end of the cycle.

If that makes sense.
Yup, but taking off the arm and putting it upwards, soesnt change the resting position on the motor..... thats why i wasn't so sure about it....
