Yup, but taking off the arm and putting it upwards, soesnt change the resting position on the motor..... thats why i wasn't so sure about it....
Right . You're just repositioning the one end of the connecting rod to the other side of the circular cog 180 degrees from where it was. All the motor does is spin.
There's a thread dedicated to the wiper mod. If you see the internals of the motor, it should all be clear.
Had a hitch installed and bought a great bike rack! Way easier to carry and 29er and 27.5 now. No need to take wheels off and tetris them into the back.
Just need to get an anti-sway/wobble attachment for the hitch/rack now to keep from wobbling so much.
Did the 'JDM' wiper mod this morning. I didn't bother taking pics as they are already out there.
One point to mention, though, is you do NOT need to remove the wiper stalk at all. Once you have the motor cover off, simply remove the connecting rod, flip the wiper to the upright position and reinstall the connecting rod on the hole 180 deg. from where it was on the white gear. Took less than 10 minutes. Has the exact same coverage and arc, but stops at the top instead of the bottom of the sweep.
I just did my own oil change for the first time. It took way longer than it should have because it started raining right when I got started. I also found out that the jack points for the 2015 fit is kinda weird since my jack kept acting like it was gonna slip. All in all it went by pretty smoothly and I definitely plan on doing it myself from now on since I saved like $40.

Congrats and welcome to the world of doing your own maintenance and knowing your car better!

Awesome! Learning to do the proper maintenance on your cars yourself is a very valuable and rewarding experience.
I hid a bunch of useful things all over my car, and organized the glovebox and center console.
I had a backpack full of emergency supplies in the back. I checked all the supplies and hid them (and the backpack) in gaps around my spare wheel and in the foam tray above it. The folding floor panel that covers this recess is kind of flimsy, i think I'll add velcro along the side or at least at the front corners to have it hold more securely.
I velcro'd a first aid kit to the floor under the front passenger seat. No need to attach loop fabric, the hooks stick to the floor fine.
I had an old cheap foam pillow from Ebay with a photorealistic lime slice on it, i hollowed out the foam and nestled my jumper cables in it. Now they aren't unraveling all over the back area and look cute instead. And it still sort of functions as a cushion.
It looks like there's less stuff in there now when there's actually more.
I also made some sunflower yellow headrest covers for the front. I want it to be sunny-looking and cute inside eventually. I love tacky themed interiors on small cars, but the only one I've seen pictures of on a Fit was one Hello Kitty car. Underutilized potential if you ask me.
Fresh oil change and maybe its first night sleeping in a garage... Staying at the future in-laws this evening and because they have room, the Fit got to go inside. It also got a fresh coat of Zymol wax. I'm trying like crazy to keep this thing waxed since it will not have a garage for at least the next couple of years.
New 6" buffer birthday gift to myself was a success!
