Put Konis and Tein Springs on the Rear only

Long story. I bought hondagk5's barely used Koni shocks and Tein springs. Great deal, easy transaction. While en route on Saturday morning, my battery died, so we met at Pep Boys where I bought the cheapest one they had, $135 with military discount out the door after core charge. They wanted $45 to check the charging system (used to be free -- Autozone?), so I thought just throw in a battery for $90 more, if it's the alternator or starter it'd be under warranty. Anyway, I was supposed to spend time with my mom, which meant she made me sandwiches and listened to me cuss every imaginable combo of words while I wrenched on the fit in my sister's garage. Her husband does not have the greatest set of tools, and so after getting the rears done, I pulled the left front assembly off, but I was not able to crack the nut on the front strut assembly to remove the spring. I put the whole thing back together, and test drove it. It was making a horrible ruckus so I pulled the tire back off and rechecked everything. When I compressed the spring on the front, the spring put torque on the strut bearing enough so that I could see the ball bearings inside it. Maybe that is shot now? Also, to get the sway bar end link back on, I had to move the strut assembly into an unnatural position, emplace the end link, and then force the strut assembly back on the strut mounting location (the two big nut/bolt combos). It wasn't tough, but maybe I jacked up the sway bar end link? So, I ordered two bearings, two strut mounts (the big rubber piece the assembly goes into), and two end links. They come in tomorrow morning. I am going to take both assemblies apart tonight and compare and see if anything looks screwed up. Tomorrow I should have her all back together and be able to get rid of my Cali-tilt, which looks so good on two-door impalas, but not so much on a four door fit, lol. Cheers and happy modding!

Art, got pics of the fronts? esp the bearings part, so we can help you verify if it is indeed the source of the noise

No pics of fronts

I was too pissed off to take pics. I went to harbor freight and bought a bunch of tools I already had in vegas. But the parts were all dealer items so im back home now and will pull apart tonight. I left the tools strategically placed in oceanside for future San Diego deals and mods;-)

Installed 6Ω 50W resistors to stop the hyperflashing on my LED front DRL/turn signals. Worked a charm. Used thermal glue to attach the driver's side resistor to the metal car body; on the passenger side it's zip tied to some metal tubing but that'll probably need moving sooner rather than later.

Art, any "clunk" noises from the rears when you hit bumps and dips?

Yeah, I kinda hear something, let's say it seems louder than stock. I gotta drive it some more to be sure. hondagk5 gave me the bump stops he already cut, and I did put on both washers that came with the shocks. So... ??? Maybe they're just a little noisy?

Well, basically just like you did in this picexcept I put the washers down here like hondagk5 showed me in this pic
those are the bump stops I used which he already cut. What I didn't do is have that washer above the bump stop like in your photo. Does that make any sense?

End links came loose again.

I didn't have an eagle claw socket to torque them so I just guessed. I noticed the drive was getting noisier on i40. Sure enough, got off the freeway and one or both are loose again. I guess I need loctite, and some German torque
