How much did you pay for your Fit?
2010 Fit Sport Auto - Boston area
Hello,
I am getting a quote for $18,500 OTD for a 2010 Sport Auto.
Price: 17,000
MA Tax (6.25%): 1065
Fees: 299
Plates: 125
Total: 18,500
Is that a good price ? Is there any wiggle room to include any options in that price ? The dealer is quoting $130 for carpet mats.
I have to pull the trigger soon - before aug 31st - to get the price and 0.9 % financing . Any help will be greatly appreciated!
thanks

I went to truecar.com and punched in my information. It's a SSM 2010 Sport AT. 16,018 was the price of the car which was about 1500 under invoice. This was pre-taxes and local fees. Taxes and fees were ~1400. I got it from Spreen Honda in Loma Linda California.

Just got my Fit Sport manual today....didn't get a deal, but don't think I got too ripped off. Traded in my 2007 Fit Sport manual for $9500 and paid $8600 cash for a total out the door of about $18,100 (including everything). I'd like to add that the $9500 was a few hundred more than I thought I would get.

I finally pulled the trigger! $18,500 OTD ($16,950 sale price of the car).
I price matched the car with 4 other dealers. I was getting was $16,800 (Car price) for an instock vehicle.
But my wife and kids wanted RED only. I couldn't find a single dealer in MA carrying a Red Fit Sport. That cost me $200 more as the dealer had to get it from a partner dealer in NH. I know I paid a premium for the color, but oh well, hopefully I was not ripped.
I did get sold for the Extended warranty for $880. I have 30 days to cancel. Do you think I can get a better coverage from somewhere else or I don't need a warranty at all ?

The better idea for the extended warranty is to put the money in a savings account of some kind and then use that to pay for repairs when needed. If you do want a warranty, the best way to find out a good price is to shop around just as you did for the car itself. Ask five dealers for a quote, etc.

If manual is supposed to be cheaper than auto, I got my auto sport for 16,018.
Spreen honda in loma linda.
As for the necessity, well, there have been a bunch of thefts of the tires reported on this board. For a cost of about $40 bucks, its good insurance.

Is this a Honda Care plan because 7/75k with a $50 deductable is not listed on the Honda Care available plans? Honda Care does have a 7/80k with a $0 deduct or $100 deduct. Anyway $880 is not a good price, try Sarcucci Honda and Hyannis Honda, get quotes from both, they will be way less.
If they insist on charging you the installed price for the wheel locks tell them to at least give you the lug nuts they took off to install the wheel locks...
