In North America...
GD = 2007-08
GE = 2009-13
GK = 2015+

Just got my FastBrakes rear disc conversion kit in the mail, got JDM tails on the way and getting upgraded front brakes this weekend. Gonna be difficult to hold off installing until summer shutdown at the plant.

Cool to know. US didn't have a Fit in 2014.

Some parts of the world had the GK in 2014.

Did some work today on my 09:
-changed transmission fluid and filter (I removed the cowl to make all this easier)
-cleaned the throttle body and intake box
-Seafoam through the vacuum line (at the brake booster with about 1/3 the can)

Just being curious about my Fit's acceleration, I found out it it does 0-60kph 5sec, 0-100kph 10sec
DBA-GE8 Fit RS 1.5 CVT with 7spd simulated. I guess manual fit is faster coz I saw some fit rs manual doing 8s 100kph times, and the new fit hybrid 1.5 is also 8s.

This is my fit video below, S mode cvt

I've leaned on it with a very considerable amount of my weight and it's held up admirably. it kind of stays held in place by the friction of the front seats rubbing against it, so I think that diffuses any sway/flex that would otherwise be present due to any shoddy construction.

Also,today I shop vacced out a rats nest from my cabin air filter and intake because my dealer wanted 200 bucks to clean it out. Got it from the top under the hood and also from behind the glove box where the filter slides out, are there any other potential nesting areas I should know about?

Very energetic fun little car

I’ll re ask
Does removal of the catalytic converter create a difference in fuel consumption?

Bought a pair of these for the front of my Fit. $85 on Amazon and they fit perfectly. They are custom-laser cut and there are no gaps.

Most likely. More power needs more fuel after all.

I don't think it would work that much better. The exhaust being designed for certain pressures and temperatures. That is a big change to that.

Last week, I got my 2013 base (auto) detailed (interior and exterior) for a lot of money. Was happy with the exterior detail, but still ambivalent about the interior... Seats and rugs were cleaned to perfection, but the workers didn't do anything inside the glove compartments or the nooks and crannies on the dash. Also had to have them re-do the windows inside and out because they didn't even do interior windows the first time. Owner of the business is amazing, just he had two new workers who clearly didn't know what they were doing.

Today, I did two "big" things: put in an aftermarket armrest that I got for only $36 on Aliexpress, and put mesh behind the open area in front of the a/c compressor.

Armest was a breeze to put in, and I'm pretty pleased with it despite it not being the best quality material. Will probably get a cover for the cheap fake leather top.

Mesh was a pain in the butt, but still easier than I anticipated. Hardest part was taking the damn clips on and putting them back on. Wasn't the most perfect install, but I feel it's more than adequate to protect the compressor, and I've got plenty of plastic gutter mesh and black zip ties left if it ever needs to be replaced.

Also got some cheap fuzzy seatbelt covers. Because. 😁

Now I really need to stop spending money on this damn car! But I do love it so...

Pics please I want to do the things you did! My fit looks yellowish compared to new ones now and I think it needs a good detailing.

Here's a bad split shot I did (should have chosen the same lighting conditions). Top is after a regular automatic car wash (I know those are horrible for the paint and coating now, but was ignorant two weeks ago!), and the bottom is right aftet I drove away from the detailer last week. Even though it's different lighting conditions, the shine really stands out after the full exterior detail (it's just carnuba wax, but they did a good job).

In an alternate reality where money is no object, I wouldn't hesitate to get a paint correction and ceramic coating and/or Xpel clear wrap. But alas, I am not a bazillionaire...
