just doing a quick online check there are quite a few 2010s around me but not as many 2011s. manual trannys seem to be less common.

Hi, I'm based in Souther California and was wondering if I should be happy when the dealer offers me invoice price for a 2011 Sport A/T ($17827 excluding taxes and fees)? It comes out to somewhere around $19,500 OTD.

I can't seem to get the dealer to go in the $18500 range for the 2011 Sport.
Thanks

try going to the dealer near the end of the month. pretty sure they aren't desperate to sell 2011's cheap any time soon tho.

yea....but i mean you should be able to get a bit of a discount below MSRP
make an offer..but it all depends on how you're paying as well.
i think $500 off MSRP is reasonable, but you can shop around and see how bad they want your business

print out an invoice price from edmunds.com and show it to the sales person. be aggressive and don't stop until you get your targeted price

buying clubs like costco generally get you 200-300 under invoice, you should be able to get that. i guess it depends on how much security garbage they are trying to push on it. most of the dealers around here won't sell anything without a bumper applique, wheel locks, and window etching ... which is annoying.

2010 Sport MT TW w/mats and wheel locks and 18 miles on the odometer = 17171 OTD (that's in a 9.25% tax area)
It's exactly what I wanted. Think I coulda got it for a couple hundred less...but I WANTED it (though SSM is nice too...)
Happy happy

That's not bad but a 2010 is a year old now, it should be selling at a 5-10% discount minimum.

I got my 2011 Alabaster Silver Sport AT for just below $16400 before destination charges, tax and all those documentation fees here in SF bay area. Bought it in Dec 2010 just before Christmas.

Do not pay sticker invoice for a vehicle , don't be a sucker.
You shouid be able to negotiate for $500 and or a lot of accessories. I suppose it depends on the financing too

I got a bargain on literally the last black sport manual in Orlando. 17,7 out the door. Included floor mats, door edge film (woohoo), rear bumper applique, rear cargo mat, wheel locks, nitrogen filled tires, wheel locks, and a Mugen shift knob. Not too shabby...

May I ask which dealership you went to? I'm also searching in the same area and am getting roughly the same price, $16,488 sale price....around $19k OTD (stupid CA taxes).

While we're at it...what do you all think? Should I hold out for a better price?

In the SF bay area, figure about 11% tax and license. yeah!
2011's are just arriving. I can't see you getting a good deal until the end of the month. 10's yes, but limited selection and a MINIMUM OF 11% OFF! (you pay list OTD)
Some dealers will beat you $300 if you have a hard quote from another dealer.
I got a quote from Capitol and took it to Palo Alto, they met it but didn't have the exact car I wanted. Went back to Capitol (best selection) and they met my minimum...(I wasn't as informed as I might have been... I was also picky and wanted a manual transmission in a specific color.
Of course with that $300 coupon, you should go back to the original dealer (or any that has what you want) and get that plus $200 or freebies...which I did, but didn't push as hard as I might have, given I was already bluffing the $300 for a car PA didn't have (they only had a base manual, not a sport...).
Remember, have the checkbook with you, and patience is a virtue...

ZuluMong, I went to Serramonte Honda and you have to play hardball with them. A few times I was ready to walk out seriously and it did help that my phone was ringing all the time from the other dealerships while I was negotiating. I did not hesitate to let them know that I have no times for games, and that I have done my homework AND my phone ringing means I still have options elsewhere. I made them throw in the center armrest too as part of the deal. Are you looking for a 2011 AT Sport?

I am picking up a 2010 Sport w/man tran for $17900 otd. I think this was a great price and had it not been for 8.1%, it would have been even better.
