Ok so i was bored and plasti dipped my badge over the week end

Funny story. I forgot alcohol to wipe down. Asked the wife for sme hardcore cleaning potion she uses in the kitchen to clear grease. She gave me baking soda mixed with vinegar. Low and Behold it ate the glue away and i ended up removing the badges on the lower half.

I also put 4 re003 195/55r15 last week. Very nice compared to my old GoodYear GT3 tyres that came oem.

Next:
I just ordered a set of JBL GTO638 , will try two fronts then decide if its worth for the two back doors as well.

I wanted to put a front lip or splitter but i am already scraping as is .

My tyres had 39 psi and were very pumpy, i went 36 psi today and they feel much more comfortable and less bumpy. Even acceleration seem to be a little better. With 4 adults , on large speed humps my side skirts scrape.

What I've been up to...

Hello Fittest Freaks,

It has been a long while since I uploaded anything to this site. That's life...keeps moving :-)

I did a few things to my Fit and I wanted to share. Once again I thank all the patient experienced folks on this site that inspired newbs like me to be more courageous and mod my vehicle.

Got my emblems :-)

I finally got around to installing these and I absolutely love them. I would say to those intimidated about them not fitting just right...it's okay....go for it!

I have the sport grill installed beforehand. I didn't have to sand too much [just the two indents where the pins laid before]. I just centered and pushed down firmly until it was solid.

The rear is the tricky part. I ended removing the adhesive backing, per forum suggestion, and purchased commercial strength 3M double sided tape [Lowes]. I used the tape mounted on the top back part across and a thinner layer right underneath [which fill that gaps left behind by its slight curve]. I placed two smaller pieces of the tape on the bottom center part of the rear emblem. Then I pushed liked a pregnant woman in a delivery room. The results were great.

Just take you time with the removal portion. Don't be lazy! Remove the grill and break the pins....the original emblems comes out like butter. The rear is the scary one to remove. Ideally, you could remove the trunk door plastics. Anyone who's messed with door panels knows that option sucks. I used waxed floss and shoe laces and took my sweet ass time with it. I sipped on my chilled Weihenstephaner Korbinian beer and firmly tugged until it popped off. There is a good YouTube video from a gentleman modder in South Wales showing his removal technique.

Next, my OEM light bulb on the right side went bad. So I decided to get the poor man's HID clone [Sylvania ZXE 9003/H4] and they are nice and bright white [obviously installed before the emblems]!

Finally, I got my new Keyport 3.0 slide [and my wife did too]. In case you couldn't guess which one is mine [lol] it's the larger black/blue model shown. I love how the company went back to strong alloys and upped their game now featuring modular add-ons and cool tech on this already great product. I purchased the knife side insert and the led light with Trackr technology built in [for lost keys].

Thanks for viewing and if you have any questions, just ask!

PS: Next project [before 2016 closes] will be the install of the Pioneer TS-WX610A Sub-woofer into my Fit. What makes this great is it's mounted on to the spare tire. I didn't want to sacrifice trunk space/floor space/ or magic seats movements/folding. So this bad boy will grant me the low notes I'm craving without getting ridiculous. I'll post pictures of the install and give ya a better review.

The following pics are so you can see what it looks like:

Once again thanks and pardon the dirty car :-)

Got it from this seller on Ebay [very nice guy; will answer any questions/ 100% feedback] and he has of course the reds, but also carries blue/black/yellow. I guess they are more designed for a Civic, but if you do enough contorting...you can make it fit on the Fit :-)

Hope this helps!

I've been collecting parts for past 6 months now. Aaannnnd today I finally got my genuine JDM RS front bumper, grille etc. I got my RS rear bumper month a go.
The bumpers need a just bit of buffing as there second hand parts. The best part is that they have all the grilles, vents, reflectors, lights and little bits that usually are missing.

I also ordered these DRL:s for the RS front.

Here's a little
with dimming etc.

I'm still waiting for few bits and bobs before I'll start swapping parts over to my hybrid. So I have a EDM/JDM (GE8-9) GP1 front & rear bumpers in perfect condition coming up for sale. The front have fog lights, vents, etc. I'll post pictures once I get the project going on.

Sold my EDM/JDM GD1 last week My friend bought it so it was nice to see that the little Mugen got a good home. I replaced the gearbox before selling the car. What a PITA job... well, happy kms/miles a head.
I have some goodies left from that build. So there will be brand new (unused) BC Racing coilovers for sale, some rare Modulo front lip, grille, EL-gauges etc for sale. Also keept those Discontinued 16" Work Wheels Nezart II's.

Well, just wanted to pop in and say hi to all FitFreaks! My GP1 built is soon under the knife

I agree with this! Didnt know a spare tire sub existed and was eyeing the compact under seat sub pioneer offers.

Is that a full size spare?

Unfortunately, they aren't real Connor. Honda never made any color other than red. (But its just a piece of plastic so who really cares).

Also the real badges don't come in bubble wrap.

Does anyone know the size of the Honda badge on the fit shuttle? I'm thinking about getting a red emblem since I have one on the rear. I had one on my base grille but it's bigger than the shuttle's emblem.

I think you are only the person I know who has had this dilemma, because of your grille.

I believe the legit badges are from a EP3 type r front and rsx/integra for the rear.

If you are serious about getting a legit red badge (and you should because that grill is awesome) call up ICBMotorsport and ask them.

They should be either able to give you measurements or at least tell you what models of badges are available in different sizes.

Installed the (now discontinued) oem center armrest yesterday. And I over-torqued the side bolt and sheared the head completely off
but luckily I was able to get a replacement bolt.

Overall I like the armrest but it does a minimal wiggle from side to side. But I don't expect too much because its an add-on accessory and the mounting to the center console is a complete after thought by the honda engineers...its sketchy at best.

I had to use a pair of vicegrips and carefully unthread the stud back out of the welded nut. It took 30 minutes and it sucked the whole time.

Yup! There are 6 bolts that secure the arm rest. 2 bolts that mount the U bracket to the floor. 2 Bolts that secure the arm rest to the console. And 2 bolts on either side that connect the floor U bracket to the console. All of them are torqued tight.

I bet if you pushed firmly left or right on the top of your armrest it would sway a bit. Mine isn't loose by any means, but because of the mounting method honda used its not a super solid and thats what irks me.

I guess it moves like 2mm if you press on it sideways. But i rest my arm on it normally all the time, and it feels solid enough to feel like it came with the car. The plastic armrest on the door sways more from side to side if press enough on it.

I agree. Mine feels pretty solid. I dont push off it to get myself out of the car or anything, but when my elbow is resting on it, it feels secure.
