Thank you thank you thank you! And if you want me to do my own leg work on this one I will.

I busted up when reading your reason for not upgrading your sound system by the way. That's some smart parenting.
Haha yeah no worries. Its funny because before I would just impulse buy and just start modding away. Now that my disposable income isnt as disposable, I have to think long term with how practical my little side projects are.

As far as the shutoff goes it is as easy as a tap of a button to turn off the camera, and swiping left and right to change the view. My wife isnt the most tech savvy l, but she finds it easy to navigate. Now my dad when I asked him if he wanted me to install one on his car he struggles with tech and still asks me to print out MapQuest directions for him.

I might start a thread and in detail how I routed the wires and what I used to tap into the reverse lights. And just any weird quirks I run into. But feel free to send me a DM if you wanna chat.

I keep hearing news about people getting their gas siphoned, but recently had this happen to a neighbor. Never had any issues for the 11 years Ive owned this car but I guess this might help slow down the desperate.

Changed my blower motor resistor out. Had the MAX AC only issue. Works fine now.

I recommend popping out the interior piece underneath; not just the glove box, and using a small 1/4” ratchet with bit holder to turn the screws. It’s a bitch to view through the glove box pocket and give your Fit a reacharound at the same time; but there’s never a bad time to improve your technique.

Also did my brakes. Front rotors and pads. Everythings pretty nice and straightforward, but I’d suggest an impact gun for removing the 80ft lb caliper bolts.

Also a 1/4” or 6.4mm or whatever is a great drill size for removing those brake retainer screws. It’ll break off the countersink head, at which point you can switch to a smaller drill to break through and remove the screw body entirely. Fuck those things.

Thanks! This was only my third race in the Fit. My last rallycross car was a 2006 Mazda3 and the Fit feels so much better in the dirt. Looking forward to the rest of this season

Where you are, I bet there are several tracks/orgs. I googled a bit and looks like the Middle Georgia SCCA is pretty active 6 races on the calendar for this year: Middle GA SCCA Events

Near me we have two tracks that are not SCCA tracks but run roughly the same rules. You can be a bone stock grocery getter (like mine) or heavily modified, you get put into different classes. Most places even have loaner helmets, so just show up with your car, snacks/drinks, and a smile. It is so much fun throwing these little wonders around in the dirt.

I got into rallycross completely by accident. I was looking at the satellite view of my area and spotted a dirt track about 20 minutes from my house. I found out it was Brianne Corn Raceway, and that led me down the google rabbit hole of what rallycross was. Turns out it is cheap and easy to get into with almost 0 prep and buckets of fun.

Damn...I haven't logged into this place for over 10 years and I still recognize some of you freaks.
Got my baby back on the road after a period of neglect; first from illness, then the pandemic, then from horrendous work hours. She got beat up pretty bad by hurricane Ian, so I spent last week buffing dings and scratches, airing out the interior, and replacing filters, fluids, wires, etc.. Now I have the itch again so here I am shopping car parts when I should be working. Glad to see this place is still a reliable go-to for my fellow freaks. <3

Giving this a shot. So far its serving its purpose. Not the greatest audio quality, but realistically I don't need premium sound when my kids are asking me to play Blippi or Disney music. I like how the display is, and it has a decent touch screen. Kinda laggy, but will probably play around with it and delete any bloatware to see if that helps with performance.

The A/C and the windshield wipers did not work on my '07 Fit when I got it. I replaced the wiper linkages and refilled the refrigerant in my A/C today. Ice cold A/C and my wipers work now.

I had my 2009 Honda Fit Sport repainted in Blazing Orange

Hi , I had my 2009 Honda Fit Sport repainted in Blazing Orange Pearl by the local Maaco Shop. It cost me just under
$ 2k and looks great. It was the normal orange color for 2009's and I did not opt to paint the jambs for another K. My goal is to keep the car about 5 to 6 more years, then see how the car and gas market is going. 135 k miles on the car and it has been garaged this whole time. So what do you all think? ( I'm going to have the headlights done by a pro shop as well.

back up camera . Wish me luck.

Looking clean! Good luck with the install. The hardest part of installing a rear camera is just removing that rear panel, and even that part wasn't too bad. Thankfully the wires are easy to tuck on the weather stripping.

@Tigerfit64 That looks beautiful!
I appreciate your mentioning the price, too! I've certainly thought about paint, but I've never gone as far as getting a quote
