Sprintex Supercharger Install

Cooool. Thanks!
Hi guys,
Aren't on the instruction for sprintex install,
that you suppose to route the hose from the PCV valve back to the Sprintex Unit
Now I see on the manual that we need to use Rubber Grease for the O-Ring on the intake elbow and the Lower Intake Manifold.
What Rubber Grease did you guys use?
I heard that Silicone Grease like Permatex 24115 Ultra Disk Brake Caliper Lube Hi-Temp Silicone Formula
would work (which I currently have),
but perhaps Castrol Red Rubber Grease will be better.
Any recommendation?
Thanks

I'm not sure how accurate this is. but off rockauto a replacement radiator lists the inlet/outlet at 1 1/2 inches

I don't remember. I ordered a catch can anyway. And no clue on the grease. I just used oil to lube the O-ring. But added a silicone reducer like steven as well.

I think the 1 1/2inches must be the outer diameter of the hose because 38mm seemed a bit too high...
Yesterday I decided to buy Toyota/Lexus OEM Rubber Grease on eBay,
I just want to make sure the O-Ring that seal the LOWER intake manifold chamber to the supercharger unit will not be effected by petroleum based lubricant because the install manual specifically mention rubber grease...
I also buy a Samco Silicone Hose Reducer for the intake elbow along with the radiator and breather kit from Samco, but it will came from UK (much cheaper there) so it will take a month from now before it arrived...
That is why I don't know the inner diameter of the radiator hose yet...
I guess I need to wait until next month before I can order the Radiator hose water temperature sensor adapter for my Defi Water Temp. Gauge....
Which Catch Can did you get?
Please kindly posted the picture once you installed it
Thanks again

I already have a used AEM F/IC-6 but I bought another brand new unit from JEGS
so I can have back up, so if one unit broke down, I can just swap and my car will run again... Only have one car and can't avoid down time...
I also bought Toyota Rubber Grease for use when I install the intake elbow and manifold of the Sprintex.

My Intake Elbow and Intake Manifold just return back from Port and Polishing,
Intake Elbow Before Porting:
After Porting
Intake Manifold Before Porting:
Intake Manifold After Porting:
Right now, I just packed the Intake Elbow and Throttle Body ready to ship out for Port, Polish and Gasket Match (between throttle body and intake elbow) and it will be done by MaxBore. Hopefully it will return back from MaxBore the first week of May...

Maxbore's service is pretty quick. I received both of my throttle bodies that I sent out to him to be bored out in a week's time.
You are moving along with this pretty fast. Thanks for keeping us all updated. It's exciting to watch.

Do any of you guys running Ktuner notice issues with your gas gauge? I get about 200 miles on the first half tank, then about 40 on the second half? Also has anyone tried adjusting vtec crossover yet? Or how about adjusting drive by wire command maps?

Man wtf, is that the stock intake manifold? Thats some sloppy Honda work if it is, time to queue to the video of some old ladies PnP the type R heads.

I figured I must have put the pump in slightly cockeyed and the float doesn't sit right due to the size difference.
I forget, are you running a stock pump?

How much did they charge you for the work? Not including shipping cuz that will vary anyways.

I've been using my UltraGauge set in Gas Tank percentage to keep track of it.
I'm moving to a 3" intake now, due to MAF error code towards redline for too much air. lol.

best test for the tb is to hold it up to the light and make sure no light is seeping around the tb plate (or at least no more than the stock one does). would have expected them to do a bit more work with stream lining the tb shaft (they could have cut off the top half of the shaft and counter sunk the screws directly into the plate)

Hi Guys,
Stock Honda Fit Spark Plug is Denso IK20,
I am currently already using Denso IK22 (5310),
but I am thinking of getting an even colder Denso IK01-24 (5701).
Had anybody here use IK01-24 (5701)?
Or what kind of colder spark plugs that you guys use?
Thanks

Hello everybody,
I already bought a Denso 265lph Fuel Pump long long time ago so I really want to install it before I install Sprintex.
Problem is, it might overrun our stock Fuel Pressure Regulator (inside the fuel pump assy).
Do you think a stock Civic Si 2013 Fuel Pressure Regulator would be direct replacement and fit right into the mounting inside the fuel pump assy and replace
our stock Fit Fuel Pressure Regulator?
if the Civic Si 2013 fuel pressure regulator don’t fit then,
do anybody here know any Honda OEM Fuel Pressure Regulator that can flow a HIGHER Return Flow than our stock Honda Fit Fuel Pressure regulator and will be direct replacement?
Thanks

Hello!
First of all I want to apologize for my bad English...
I want to share modifications which I have made for my Sprintex S/C:
1) The most important thing is the breather for S/C gearbox. The compressor during the work strongly heats up and in its gearbox the overpressure is created which leads to leak of oil through seals - it is inevitable, eventually... So instead of a filler plug I use angular fitting (Don't remember exactly, but something like: EPL06-04) with 4mm tube.
2) When increasing the speed at high RPMs (over 3000) I felt some random pushes, as the ignition misfiring, or something in this kind. I put the clamps on the hose that connects the compressor with the restrictor and pushes are gone.
It turned out it was banal because of a suction of unaccounted air...
3) Not really important.
When replacing the oil in the compressor gearbox I put a magnet to the inner end face of the drain plug to catch the possible metal particles in the oil during work. I used a magnet from the old HKS oil filter (Code No.: 52009-AK001), which I had to saw to get a magnet. The magnet from this filter is perfect fit for the drain plug without any modifications, and since the S/C housing is made of aluminium, it is not necessary to glue the magnet to the drain plug.
Thanks!

Question for K-Tuner user,
When you buy the K-Tuner reflash hardware, does it also come with tuning software so you can tune it by yourself if you want to?
The reason is, I am thinking of buying K-Tuner just to change the VTEC activation point at this point...
I mean, I can use Relays to do this and I already bought the relays and diode needed but I feel lazy soldering all of those and more convenient just buy a K-Tuner.
I also heard the K-Tuner can turn off the second O2 sensor (right before the secondary cat converter), is this feature available?
Thanks

^ When you buy the end user package you get the software so you can tune yourself. Ktuner has a decent online help with a few videos:Tutorial Videos
Vtec crossover is an option, but I have not experimented with it yet.
You can disable the second O2 sensor, and I do to prevent occasional CELS (even though I have a defouler extension on it).

Thanks for your information,
May I know the best place to buy K-Tuner end user version?
Is i directly with K-Tuner or through the tuner network?
Any place out there that give discount from list price?
Thanks again

I ordered mine through Heeltoeauto.com. Everybody sells it for the same price, and i don't think you can buy it directly from K-Tuner.
