It's alive for the second time! And i figured out my issue of why the car ran like crap.

One of the plugs on the lower manifold backed out *face palm*, disappeared somewhere and caused a huge air leak which in turn fouled my plugs. Soo yeah, the plugs were never touched, soo check to see if they are tight!

Anyway on to ktuner! It was very easy to convert. Pulled the charger off, (taking off the belt was the hardest part) swapped the fuel lines, injectors and relocated map sensor and plugged the oem map sensor port with the Ktuned plug.

What we didn't have time for was removing the 5th injector, its just sitting there as a plug. Reinstall everything with a 80 to 70 mm silicone coupler, then 5 minutes to reflash the ecu.

It fired up on the first try! Currently with the base map (Turbogixxer), it *FEELS* slower than the SMT8. But based on what jibbs said on his experience, we'll trade maps to unlock the power.

Overall i'm happy. I probably could of went with the SMT8 a while longer but ultimately I would of went Ktuner anyway.

^ Nice job. I was going to warn you that the first couple base tunes will be disappointing until he switches to map based WOT and adjusts the knock tables.

Glad things are working out for you. That's great!

Is Turbogixxer difficult to get in contact with? I've sent email and called twice to leave messages. Need to discuss a few things with him about Ktuner. Did I even call the right number (1-305-321-5376)? I try to call during their business hours.

lol. I figured it would be, it does take a little bit of cranking to start the car. Hopefully that can be fixed. Big thanks to you and proton (and whoever else) who pioneered this.

I think it varies, some days i've gotten quick replies and some it takes a day or so. I think this is his new number. (253) 566-4331

Thanks a bunch! I got in touch with a 'Brandon' there and left a message. Forgot they have a dyno. If they can dyno CVTs, I'll be stopping by their shop. Again...huge thanks.

Ok..back on topic (Sprintex Supercharger Rules)

Limit the time you do a full pull on the cvt and track the fluid temps if you can. most don't like full torque sustained pulls.

Quick Question Guys,

Anybody here know the diameter of the Radiator Coolant HOSE for GE?
The main hose near the radiator cap.
I want to buy a Temperature Adapter and need to know the diameter.
I know for GD is 30mm but what is it for GE ?
Thanks

Tell him to adjust your cranking trim, I had the same issue and he got it all worked out (has to do w/ the bigger pump and larger injectors).

Mines still working great! I need to change my supercharger oil one of these days that it's not freezing out, but it made it through winter without a hiccup.

i just read through all 52 pages, well skimmed some because it was mostly bickering (I understand, nothing goes right the 1st time around). I commend the members who ventured on with the piggyback and to Gary for trying his best to assist with the issues with the piggyback. I hope they find a new solution or upgrade their current one.

Alot of good progress with K-tuner. Great...great...work!!!

Has ANYONE had success using the sprintex supercharger without any other major upgrades? I'm wondering if their new interceptor tuner fixed the issues from the previous piggy back. I want to do this after the warranty is up, but I want minimize the extra mods needed to have it running smoothly.

Just me but I've never seen a piggyback without some side affects. Run-ability issues etc.

I'm sure there are some but I've seen so many supposedly plug and play piggybacks that don't do what they say or just don't work well, especially on OBD2/OBD3. (Yes AEM I'm looking at you) Couple things I found with them,

On a Dodge Neon ACR (Factory race class) the AEM did NOTHING, we put the car on the Dyno and screwed with it for a couple hours and it didn't do anything negative or positive other than cause the idle to get a little rougher.. ??

Another one went on a SR20 NA motor, was supposed to give about a 10HP kicker. Nothing. Actually caused the car to lose speed on the straights.

Many are very tuned to short run drag racing ,, and if you run them for a while the engine ECU and the Piggyback start to fight.

Its bene about 3 years since I messed with one so maybe by now they have something working.. ??

I just ordered a Custom Boomslang Wiring Harness to use with AEM F/IC-6 directly from Boomslang.

This Harness will have Custom Extra Features for a VTEC Solenoid Connection and User Switch harness for Dual Map Selector Switch.
I learned a lot about this 2 useful features above from SlimChriz, (member of fitfreak who also have Sprintex Supercharger)

Thanks Chris :-)

I ran the piggyback for a bit. I think i would still be running it today if one of the boost port plugs didn't back out and caused me to go ktuner.

I think if you can get the hardware only, then go ktuner (ktuner and injectors) would be best reliable bet.

I've been tuning with Turbogixxer for almost a month, and i'm noticing a big performance increase from the piggyback. Granted its a custom tune versus off the shelf.

Anyway. The car is slowly coming alive! I'm getting a MAF code (p0103) for too much air!! I need a larger intake to compensate.

I'm not sure what year your Fit is but you can use a maf sensor housing out of a Honda Civic of the same year (Example LX...not a Si). For example, I looked up the maf sensor for a 2009 Fit manual. It is 37980-RNA-A01. I looked up the maf sensor for the 2009 1.8ltr Honda Civic LX and it is the same number. So all this means is that your maf table will need to be recalibrated for the wider opening of the LX housing, using Ktuner. Just get an LX maf sensor housing, cut it out and install your maf sensor in it. Voila!

Hmmm....good idea. I was thinking of a 3" pipe MAF adapter. But this sounds like an alternative.

Hey Steven if you're still around, what did you do about the crankcase vent hose? vent to atmosphere?

Hi guys,
Aren't on the instruction for sprintex install,
that you suppose to route the hose from the PCV valve back to the Sprintex Unit
(to be exact to the nipple on the right side of the supercharger like on the picture below, the one that is still covered with sprintex seal)?

note: below is the picture of my sprintex unit...

By the way, my Intake Elbow and Lower Intake Manifold were at Porting/Polishing shop now,
It should be ready by late next week.

Now I see on the manual that we need to use Rubber Grease for the O-Ring on the intake elbow and the Lower Intake Manifold.
What Rubber Grease did you guys use?
I heard that Silicone Grease like Permatex 24115 Ultra Disk Brake Caliper Lube Hi-Temp Silicone Formula
would work (which I currently have),
but perhaps Castrol Red Rubber Grease will be better.
Any recommendation?
Thanks
