Gave the engine and supercharger an oil change and rotated my tires (torque checked it after putting it on the ground and after driving a 3 mile loop)..
I made a messy goof when doing the oil for the sc... without opening up the fill port, I only opened up the drain. Apparently, it was under some pressure as it sprayed blue oil all over me and the engine bay. =.="
It still drained 3 oz after that mess... so I wonder just how much they put after rebuilding it (was first oil change since). The "recommended" from Sprintex is only about 53 ml (2 oz). The bottle that came with my sc after the rebuild had, what looked to be 3 oz in there. So I just used it all up.
The sc sounds so much better now. About a week after it came back and I reinstalled it, it sounded a little "coarse," now its smoother.
After several years and many miles with "RICH" A/F ratio to cope with the Supercharger, the S2000 AP2 exhaust tips start becoming "black" in color... so I decide to replace it today with...
another Brand New S2000 AP2 OEM Honda exhaust tips again
And..........
a PAIRof Pioneer Carrozzeria TS-WH1000A Underseat Subwoofer arrived from Japan.
It is a rare sight to see an electronic equipment still MADE IN JAPAN
I will install them tomorrow...
I cleaned the wheels on my daily GE. I didn't clean the rest of the car, I just had some wheel cleaner left over from cleaning some of my other wheels & felt the Fit had been neglected a bit too much. Also vacuumed the Fit & cleaned the ol' Touring Medallion a bit too.
One of the other wheels that was cleaned (weeds were pulled after car business was done)
If only I had one more & could actually use those wheels.

Hello Connor55,
I am always traveling due to my new job representing Industrial Robot manufacturer. So much demand for automation now
I will be out of town again tomorrow, so I won't be able to attend any meet soon... when I am free, I either work on my car or going out with my family
I installed the PAIR of Pioneer Carrozzeria TS-WH1000A subwoofer this weekend, below is the link for more pictures and my impression on how it sounds/perform:
Replaced my muffler. I had ordered the Mugen Fit muffler (Sport bumper)... but it was discontinued, so my order got unceremoniously cancelled.
So, I gave up and decided to try out the Tanabe Medalion Touring for the Fit. And if I'm honest, I dislike it a little. I like performance... but I don't like noise. It isn't "a lot" louder than the stock muffler, but it IS louder. And it's most noticeable at night or in my driveway, where the neighbor's and my house end up acting like an echo chamber. I care less about it during the day, but I usually get home from work late at night and even if I'm unsociable, I don't like bothering others around me too much. I've already bought and installed it, plus I'm not the type to return most things, so I guess I can only hope it doesn't bother the neighbor as much as I imagine it is.
Speaking of installing it... what a freaking pain the whole process was. It took quite a long time with an impact wrench to knock the old bolts loose, only to have one of them snap in half. So I had to put the car back down, clear the driveway, then drive to a nearby dealership with partially secured muffler to buy replacement bolts (and springs). Got home... restarted the removal process and the other bolt snapped. Good thing I bought two bolts! Then I had to fight with it, cause it practically welded itself stuck. Eventually, after (improperly) hammering my 1/2" socket extenders as punches, it got knocked loose. Then I had to fight with the leftover remains of the old gasket, hammering an old flat tip screw driver like a chisel to knock it off... then using the socket extenders as a hammer after my arms got sore from using the actual hammer at a weird angle (I don't have a lift, so I'm laying on the ground under a half raised Fit).
I also had a fight with the rubber hangers, but that was more of my brain failing to think "smarter, not harder." Eventually, a brain cell fired correctly and I remembered I had a wrench plier next to me and just squeezed it off... duh.
Maybe I did something wrong, but I think it's more of the nature of a new install (I hope). There was enough space between the two flanges (yes, with new gasket in-between) that the springs on the bolts basically bound up. I'm guessing that over time, that spring pressure with cause the two flanges to slowly pull the two together and squeeze down on the gasket between them.
Geez Goob that was an ordeal. I had my HKS installed by my Dodge dealer back in 2010 when the Fit was only a year old. It was piece of cake watching them do it on hoist. Cost me $29 Cdn.

As much as my post looks like a "wall-o-text"... the only real issue was me not thinking or following my initial instincts. I ordered the muffler online and when I picked it up, I was thinking I should get the bolts and gasket. But when I picked up the new gasket, I didn't pick up the bolts, deciding that I would just recycle the old bolts (hah!)... So if I had, it would've saved me some time, effort and the headache.
That aside, I try to do as much on my own as I can just for some self-gratification.
In addition, I wouldn't have had time to get a mechanic/dealer appointment anyway as lately, I've been on the road quite a bit. I just got back on Thursday night from a trip to Princeton and Baltimore for my niece's golf tournament/college tour. And in half an hour, about to head out to Detroit for two nieces' golf tournament (well, one of them has to make it through a qualifier first).
A little squirt of WD40 on the rubber hangers made it very easy to pull off the old and install the new Tanabe Medallion Touring ('11 Sport AT). I like mine.

yea...fresh ones are nice sometimes though. was on the fence between the tanabe and hks for my ge...but like u i dont want a loud car. mostly wanted to freshen up the exhaust and look of the rear with minimal noise. prefer the design of the tanabe...but after reading your post regarding sound ill put the idea on the back burner. thanks for the "review"!
