What film did you use? I like the look and colors a lot!
I agree. Simple and clean, never gets old.
Fuji Superia X-TRA ISO 400, with a Canonet QL17 GIII. I need to buy some more, I think they may have discontinued it?
And agreed, not to be biased, but I really think the stereo, JDM hazard button and OEM shift knob from my other car dial it up a notch further. Also super OEM looking but just that little extra.

Nice! And I agree, too, the GE8 with a double din is just about perfect. Simple, functional, just the necessities.
Is that the Metra double din plater or which brand?

I will have to give that film a try. When I don't feel like carrying my DSLR or feel like being extra creative I'll grab my Pentax K1000. I pretty much only put B&W film in it (Tri-X 400) but would like to do some more color. Yes it looks like the Fuji is available on Amazon but says discontinued by manufacturer.
I don't have any film shots of the Fit, I'll have to fix that!!
Preface: I bought a "Mugen" (knockoff?) oil cap to replace the factory cap that's breaking in some places. But when I tried it, the gasket is completely in the wrong place, even though the threaded part fit fine. Gonna have to return it and maybe buy the "Mobil 1" (also, probably knock off) version as that has a bigger/wider rubber gasket or stick with the old slightly damaged cap.
Back to the heart attack... after trying the cap, I then left for work. But as I was pulling out of my driveway, the Fit hesitated a bit... like I was in too high a gear. And after a moment, I had simply thought I was in too high a gear. Incidentally, a few minutes later, I pulled over to double check to make sure I put the old oil cap back (and it was). Later, during work, it did it again and then immediately after hitting a bump moments later, it got worse until it stalled out. I rolled off to the side and restarted without turning key to off. Started up fine. Checked the ultragauge for any codes... none. No set or pending codes.
Not long after, it did it AGAIN... but this time, even restarting wasn't problem free. Upon restarting, it would slowly stall out. I tried restarting still without shutting off, and it stalled out again. I finally completely shut off (among other things) and it finally stopped stalling out. Still no trouble codes whatsoever. And since then, not repeated that issue.
There's a bit of an adage that says many times, a problem that suddenly pops up is related to the last thing done. Well, the last thing was the oil cap... before that, was the axle-back muffler. Neither of which I can attribute, considering the muffler was done almost a month ago (or at least 3 or four gas tanks ago). Another thought is maybe something electrical... dunno.
I washed and sealed the Fit with Mckees 37 on Thursday. Then on Friday I had new OEM pads and rotors installed . I bought the car used with 83000 miles on as my daily beater.
The front and back are sold separately. If you do order them, don't cut anything from the suction cups! I did this thinking it was a mold and that it was the obvious thing to do in order for the suction cups to fit through the holes. This is definitely not the case (thankfully they still work). I have yet to try them out for an actual nights sleep. My only complaint is terrible instructions (hence me cutting the section cups) and the rear piece doesn't fit perfect with the 3rd brake light. But maybe that'd be a good thing to let some light in.
Added an motion sensing LED bar underneath of the privacy cover. It runs on batteries and is currently attached with doubled sided tape. Also reconfigured my bike stand setup after seeing some forum posts here, to make it so that I still have one seat available in the rear.
I just found out that my driver side fog light isn't securely mounted. A swivel bolt, part of the assembly, backed out too far and allows the reflector to rattle. After 8 years, it's rusted solid. I might spray some PB blaster later to see if I can fix it.
I've been spending way too much money lately, so I'll have to hold off on fixing this, if I decide to replace it.
New Honda brake pads. Old ones wore evenly and not quite down to the noise makers, but very close. Rotors look excellent. I dont turn rotors, but replace them if there is anything wrong. Flushed brake and clutch fluids.
You will need to get the key cut. I have a key cutting machine that I used for my other cars and my motorcycle. The programmer is to program the security system in the Fit to recognize the new key.
They also sell the key cutting machine.
This is the machine I used to cut keys with. http://www.carkeydeals.com/wholesale...g-machine.html
I'm one of those guys that will spend money on a tool instead of going to the dealer.

Some dude mentioned flushing clutch fluid
i just bought my Fit with 66k on it
When do ppl suggest flushing it?
Is it the same idea as changing break fluid?

Mugen oil/rad caps aren't terribly expensive for the genuine ones, why not just go with that?

But they are expensive, for what they do (I consider $50 or more as expensive for a cap). If you're a genuine Mugen aficionado, then by all means, especially if it's a show car. I'm not that particular about the cap, rather, I just wanted something that wouldn't chip and break like the factory cap I have. I figured an inexpensive aluminum cap would work.
The cap I bought was with the intention of just using it for a cap. I didn't plan on installing the emblem.
I still have the cap, since I decided not to deal with 3rd party returns. I might just see if autozone/advanced auto has a gasket that fits since that's the only issue. And no, I don't plan on installing the emblem now as well.
